YCAP Newsletter October 2015

11 Nov 2015 8:31 PM | Anonymous member (Administrator)

Kia ora koutou,

Welcome to the October edition of the YCAP newsletter. We hope that you have been enjoying the spring sunshine, and have taken some well-deserved time out with your friends and whānau over the holiday weekend. We have been working hard to come up with a new work programme for the next two years of YCAP, taking into account the issues you raised at the symposia. We're making good progress and hope to brief you on this in December.

Here's what you will find in the newsletter this month:

  • Community spotlight: Taumarunui Youth Offending Team and DRIVE
  • A good, early start - ATAWHAI in Gisborne
  • Effective approaches with young adults: a new UK guide
  • New statistics on child and youth prosecutions
  • Release of the New Zealand Crime and Safety Survey
  • Modernising Child, Youth and Family: Interim report
  • Launch of the Victims Code
  • New Zealand now has 40 more youth forensic mental health workers
  • Alternative Actions in your community
